Tuesday night, February 13, 2007, officers from the Cochran Police
Department responded to a truck fire on Wood Oak Circle at Bleckley
County Commissioner Mike Polsky�s residence. According to
Chief Thrower, the Cochran-Bleckley Fire Department was able to
extinguish the fire which caused severe damage to the interior of the
Thrower stated that after a close examination of the Commissioner�s
personal vehicle which is a 1998 Toyota Tacoma, it was apparent that
someone had broken out the back window of the truck using the pipe
accelerant was used to set the truck on fire. Containers used to
pour the accelerant into the vehicle were similar to the one pictured

Thrower stated that these items along with other pieces of evidence
have been sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigations to be
Bleckley County Sheriff�s Office, Middle Georgia College Police
Department, the G.B.I., the Cochran-Bleckley Fire Department, and the
State of Georgia Fire Marshall�s Office are assisting with the
