This picture was taken in the mid 1960's.  Standing left to right,   Bo Barrs, Dut Bryant, Shorty Little and John Conner.  Seated left to right, Chief James Horton, and Assistant Chief Bobby Gay.  According to Bobby in those days the officers were issued a Smith and Wesson .38 caliber Police Special, two summer uniforms, and two winter uniforms.  He also said the officers had to purchase their on ammunition, duty belt, and holster.  There were two vehicles assigned to the department, a 1962 Chevrolet and a 1964 Ford.
