Cochran Police Department was the first department to receive an award “for outstanding humanitarian service” by United Cerebral Palsy of Georgia, Inc.  The department raised $1300 the greatest amount of funds on a per capita basis in the State of Georgia .  Shown displaying the trophy is: (left to right) Officer Marvin Barrs, Mayor Pro Tem C.H.
